Nala Calcagno is our April Patient of the Month! Nala is a three year old Cane Corso that was presented last month for lethargy and vomiting. During the consultation with Dr. Londono, abnormalities on the stomach were noted and Nala vomited again. X-rays were done and a foreign body was seem immediately. Nala had emergency surgery, with Dr. Grasso, and an intact medium sized KONG was removed from her stomach. Nala is now home with her brother "Boss", a black Fila Brasileiro and recovering well. Nala's owners were offered the KONG as a parting gift but we all agreed it was a hazard!
