Dear Nancy,

I am sure you hear about it when things go wrong, but I would like to tell you about our experience which was wonderful. My dog, Kiku, was diagnosed with an ulcerated cornea the day before we were suppose to travel to NYC, so severe that she would have gone blind in one more day. We postponed our trip by half a day so we could keep her overnight at HAH, and take her back to Dr. Pelicane, her ophthalmologist, in the morning, and back to your hospital. That night and the five or six that followed, required Kiku to receive serum every 1/2 hour, and every 1/2 hour, and subsequently every hour from midnight to six am, not to mention 7-8 other drugs that needed to be administered. Between Dr. Low and Dr. Swinger ( who added a few more he thought would be beneficial) and all the wonderful techs, her healing began immediately, which assured us that we could go on our trip knowing Kiku was in good hands. 

During our trip Dr. Low spoke to me everyday, and if I didn't call her, she would call me--religiously. Dr. Swinger kept a focus on Kiku, too. I ended up leaving Mochi, our other dog, there, as well. Fast forward to the end of our trip, we picked up two happy and one much healthier bichon! In addition, I spoke to Mimi the night before pick-up to ensure that the dogs would be bathed and ready by noon, so I could pick them up and get to Dr. Pelicane's by 1:00 pm. As I anticipated, all went according to Hoyle!

From the front desk crew, to all techs (to whom I am particularly grateful), Mimi, Dr. Swinger, and most particularly Dr. Low, without whose help I would not have been able to travel, I want to extend my most heartfelt gratitude. Should either dog ever have any health crisis in the future, there is no question where we would go!!!! We live in Boca Raton, but your hospital is the only place we would consider!

I just want to commend you on your staff, and again extend my sincere gratitude to all who helped Kiku back to health!

Dear Dr. Herrington, Katie, Leah and staff,

I'm sure you get these letters all the time, so here's another one. It really is true that words can't express my gratitude for everything that all of you did for my "little old man" Winker. As you may know, he was rescued from Miami-Dade animal control on the day he was slated to be euthanized. He was so wild with fear that the staff there wouldn't go into the cage to get him, and told the rescuers "you don't want that dog". I adopted him 9 months later.

From then on, he proved himself to be a real survivor and outlived everyone's predictions. With all that he went through (bogus allergy injections, Cushings, an attack by a vicious large dog, and then the long battle with kidney disease) the endearing term trooper was certainly well earned.

I will always remember the love and companionship he gave me, the good times as well as the not so good. And each time I do that I will certainly remember all of you. Without you Dr. H, and all of you, standing by us I'm certain his life would have been much, much shorter.

Please give the fluids and meds that weren't used to another client that can use them, or dispense them in-house as a freebie to an owner and animal that really need it. If you have a favorite charity I would be happy to make a donation to it. I have already donated his meatl foof dishes, crate, unused toys etc. to Get-a-Life pet Rescue.

The only saving grace about this huge loss is that my house isn't empty. About six years ago my neighbor found a tiny kitten (probably dropped off) in their bushes and I took her in, So you'll see me from time to time when I bring her in for checkups.

Again, “thanks" will never be enough.

Good Afternoon,

I had to rush my young kitten to your emergency room Sunday night/Monday
morning as he had a couple of seizures and was not doing well at all. I
had been to an animal hospital closer to my home a year ago when my cat
was ill and refused to go back to that place because the care we received
there was not to my standards. I had heard wonderful things about your
facility and I wanted to tell you after our visit the other day that my
expectations were exceeded.

Unfortunately the visit did not go the way we hoped and we made the
difficult decision to let the kitten go due to his condition. Dr. Londono
and the vet tech (I am sorry but I do not remember her name, she was very
tall and very nice though) as well as the girl who gathered our
information were exceptional. Everything was explained to us and we were
treated with the utmost sensitivity and care. They were wonderful at a
very difficult time.

I know often the only thing companies hear are complaints about their
service or things that went wrong but I wanted to share with you how
impressed we were with your facility and staff. I hope that I will not
need emergency services for any of my animals but in the case that I do
the only place I will take my animals to is your facility. I will also
highly recommend your facility to anyone I know that is in need to medical
care for thier animals.

Thank you for providing the comfort and support we needed at a difficult
time and for doing your best to help our little kitten. A special thank
you to Dr. Londono and the girls that helped us!
